Protecting consumers from pathogenic shiga toxin-producing E. coli (STEC) just got easier. The new BAX® System Real-Time STEC screening assay enables rapid and simple detection of STEC in food samples by targeting the key genes associated with pathogenicity (eae, stx1 & stx2). The BAX® System Real-Time E. coli O157:H7 assay and the new BAX® System STEC panel assays allow identification of the most common STEC strains (O157, O26, O103, O145, O111, O121 & O45).
Assays for the BAX® System Q7 include:
Salmonella, Genus Listeria, Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli O157:H7, STEC strains (O26, O103, O145, O111,
O121 & O45), Staphylococcus aureus, Campylobacter coli/jejuni/lari, E. sakazakii (Cronobacter),
Vibrio cholerae/parahaemolyticus/vulnificus, Yeast and Mould
